How Long Is the Running-in Period of the Beveling Machine?

Feb. 26, 2019

The run-in period of the Pipe Beveling Machine generally refers to the first three months of use from the factory to the customer.

During these three months, the proper use of the Pipe Cutting Machine allows the beveling machine to perform the maximum load at full load and extend the life of the machine.

During this period, the Kaide Shengbekou machine summed up a few points to pay attention to.

(1) When operating the beveling machine, according to the relevant product manual, determine the processing amount according to the skill parameters and the material of the plate, and do not overload the groove. For example, for ordinary carbon steel, the Q40 model is used as an example. The processing capacity of a single groove is 12 mm and the bevel width is wide. However, when processing stainless steel, the maximum processing width is only 8 mm.

(2) The symmetrical shape of the knife, do not reach the maximum groove processing width limit position during the running-in period of the beveling machine. Also, do not do the groove work with the minimum width of the bevel. Regardless of the maximum or minimum operation of the groove width, the running speed of the grooved gearbox is not good, which is easy to cause some problems, such as the worm gear is worn too fast, the worm gear is not well engaged, and the big groove is processed. The gearbox heats up too quickly.

The correct operation method is that during the running-in period of the beveling machine, the width of the working surface should be gradually increased from small to large, so that the gearbox of the beveling machine can achieve the best running-in degree.
